The iconic Hook Lighthouse, guiding and protecting sailors since the 13th Century, stands proudly on the coast of Co. Wexford. It is one of the world’s oldest lighthouses. The saying ‘by hook or by crook’ is said to have originated from here and the nearby village of Crooke in Waterford.
